Special Session 1:Surface engineering and nanotechnology
Organizer(s) Information:
S. Farshid Chini
Accotiate professor, Mechanical Eng Dept. University of Tehran
Email:chini@ut.ac.ir
Instructions:
This session delves into the cutting-edge research and applications of superhydrophobic and icephobic surfaces, with a focus on the fundamental principles of wettability. Superhydrophobic surfaces, characterized by their extreme water-repellent properties, and icephobic surfaces, which resist ice formation and adhesion, have garnered significant attention for their potential in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, energy, and biomedical fields. Attendees will gain insights into the latest advancements in surface engineering, material design, and fabrication techniques that enable the creation of surfaces with tailored wettability properties. The session will also explore the challenges and opportunities in developing durable, scalable, and environmentally friendly solutions for real-world applications.
Scope and Objectives:
●Fundamentals of wettability and surface chemistry
●Design and fabrication of superhydrophobic and icephobic surfaces
●Mechanisms of ice nucleation and adhesion reduction
●Applications in anti-icing, self-cleaning, and drag reduction
●Durability and sustainability considerations
Submission Process:
If you wish to participate in this special session, please submit your manuscript through the ConfSync system and select the Section "Special Session 1:Surface engineering and nanotechnology". We will assign your submission to Dr S. Farshid Chini for a preliminary review. After passing the preliminary review, your manuscript will undergo a secondary review by experts. Notifications of acceptance will be issued concurrently with the main conference notifications. For any questions, please contact: info@confsync.cn
